Welcome to the Dept. of Information and Communication, STUST

Explore the future of digital communication and cultivate all-around new media talents.

Since its establishment, the Department of Information and Communication at Southern Taiwan University of Science and Technology has been dedicated to integrating information technology with communication arts to cultivate new media professionals with interdisciplinary capabilities. Our curriculum combines theory and practice, ranging from news editing, film production, and advertising marketing to interactive design, providing students with complete digital content creation skills. At the same time, we emphasize programming, database applications, and mobile multimedia technologies, enabling students to independently build web platforms and develop innovative media services. Beyond technical training, we place a strong emphasis on creativity and expression, expecting students to possess creative thinking, humanistic literacy, and a global perspective alongside their professional skills. Our faculty consists of professors, assistant professors, and industry lecturers with extensive industry experience and academic backgrounds. They share first-hand cases and practical techniques in class, providing professional guidance and career advice to ensure students gain both theoretical depth and practical ability during their studies. In the digital wave, students cultivated by our department will be able to demonstrate professionalism in fields such as advertising, public relations, journalism, film and television, interactive multimedia, and emerging platforms, becoming the most competitive communication talents in the digital age.
